3m Co (MMM) reported earnings of $1.28 billion, or $2.05 a share, up 6% from a profit of $1.20 billion, or $1.85 a share, from the same period a year ago. Revenue dropped from $7.58 billion to $7.41 billion over the same time period. The company beat expectations: analysts polled by Zacks Investment Research expected earnings of $1.92 a share and revenue of $7.32 billion.
